The capabilities of recording sound are very limited with my small Canon EOS 550D which I use for filming. So I decided to seperate sound from pictures. And I bought an external microphone. I chose the Zoom H-1 V2 and am very satisfied with it. Ok, it’s made of plastics but therefore it was inexpensive. The sound quality is decent and so I can use it for future videos that I am going to produce. I also bought a dead kitten for it. That’s the funny windshield you need to avoid noises of wind when recording outside.
